Mary's
Place Transitional Apartments
This building
was named after and dedicated to the Blessed Mother Mary. This
beautiful $13.5 million dollar complex was born out of love,
compassion and concern for women and children in poverty. It
was built entirely with private donations. It's 92 fully furnished
apartments give safety and hope to all who occupy them. Rooms
vary in size. Sixty large family units accomodate 5 to 10 people
each. Thirty-two small family units house 3-5 people each. All
together we can house more than 500 people in need.
Every
effort has been made to assure the security of residents.
The lobby
is staffed 24 hours a day and entry is by ID card only. Visitors
are not allowed in the rooms. Alchohol and drugs are strictly
prohibited. Rooms must be kept clean and are inspected each
day. Each unit is completely furnished with a kitchen, bathroom,
television, and phone. A complete, free laundromat is located
on the first floor.

of residents may use the activity center at the adjacent Mary
My Hope Children's Building. In the afternoon and evenings the
